Internal vs External applicants
Internal applicants are current employees of Children’s Health Ireland.
If a vacancy is marked as ‘internal only’, you will need to confirm details of your current role and line manager to apply. Internal applicants should submit their application through our recruitment system – Rezoomo, regardless of whether the role is advertised internally or externally.

Communication during the recruitment process
Once you submit your application, you will receive an email confirming its receipt. We will also inform you whether or not you have been shortlisted for interview. Please ensure your contact details—particularly your email address—are accurate and up to date, as most of our communication will be via our recruitment system – Rezoomo. If you are an internal candidate, please use your personal email address rather than your work email.
Shortlisting
Your application will be assessed against the criteria outlined in the job description. Candidates who most closely match the requirements will be shortlisted and invited to interview. We will inform all applicants of the outcome, whether successful or not. Please note that, due to the volume of applications, we can only provide feedback to candidates who are interviewed.
