Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at CrumlinTemple Street and Tallaght. The three children’s hospitals and CHI’s Corporate Office transitioned from four separates, independently governed entities into one new single organisation effective from 1st January 2019 to govern and operate paediatric services in Dublin. 

This new organisation will operate as a single service across the existing locations of Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and the CHI Corporate Office before transitioning to the new facilities at the two paediatric outpatient and urgent care centres at Connolly and Tallaght Hospitals and the new children’s hospital on the campus shared with St James’s Hospital.

Temporary Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine – 39 hours Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin to commence 1st December, 2020 for a minimum period of 6 months.

Applicants must be:-

Registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Emergency Medicine and two years certified postgraduate training in related paediatric specialties of which one year must be full time in paediatric emergency medicine

 Or

Registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of paediatrics and two years certified postgraduate training in related emergency specialties of which one year must be full time in paediatric emergency medicine.

A minimum of one year Paediatric Emergency Fellowship is required.
