STAFF NURSE ORTHOPAEDIC PLASTER ROOM & GENERAL OPD

Permanent Full Time Contract – 39 hours / 1 wte

Ref: 144807

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Orthopaedic Department for an enthusiastic, motivated Nurse with a special interest in orthopaedics to join our team within the hospital. We offer professional development and support allowing you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills.

Essential:

  • RCN or RGN with paediatric experience (2-3 years).
  • Orthopaedic nursing experience- pre-operative and post-operative.
  • Wound care and experience.
  • Experience in managing patient care.
  • Proven track record in continuing professional development.
  • Awareness of professional and paediatric issues
  • Excellent and proven verbal and written communication and report writing skills. Demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks and responsibilities in the quality service areas to meet hospital objectives

Desirable:

  • Experience in casting and splinting of paediatric patients.
  • Experience and awareness of research based practice and audit.
  • Experience of managing change.
