The National Pediatric Hemodialysis and Transplant center based in CHI at Temple Street provides high quality tertiary paediatric nephrology care to children with kidney problems in Ireland.  The Haemodialysis Unit is a busy unit which provides specialist medical and nursing care to this cohort of patients with the support of the renal MDT.

Our service currently provides a full range of paediatric nephrology services which includes acute and chronic haemodialysis therapy, plasma exchange and infusion management post renal transplantation.

We are currently seeking a motivated staff nurse to work within an expanding Haemodialysis Department incorporating inpatient and ambulatory care services. Applications are invited for the position of staff nurse within this progressive and developing unit. Professional development and educational opportunities are available to staff. This role provides excellent opportunities to develop specialist skills within this dynamic national service.

 

This position is primarily based within the haemodialysis unit with occasional up skilling and clinical cover at ward level required. This is a daytime service with no night duty required.

 

ESSENTIAL:                

 

  • Candidates must be registered in the Children’s division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann)
  • Haemodialysis experience or willingness to undertake training
  • Proven track record in continuing professional development
  • Renal nursing experience

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Higher diploma/relevant certificate in renal nursing
