Senior Physiotherapist in inpatient Orthopaedics: Special Interest in Spinal Surgery
Purpose of the Role:
Provide appropriate physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning in accordance with current best practice for the scoliosis inpatient service, including idiopathic, syndromic and neuromuscular patients, both pre and post-surgery.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU – candidates must state CORU registration number on application, or
- CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number in the case of section 91 applicants.
and
- All candidates must have three years’ full time (or equivalent) years post-qualification clinical experience.
- Recent and significant previous experience, & strong clinical background in acute Inpatient Paediatric Orthopaedics.
- Demonstrate evidence of recent formal continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
- Recent and Significant acute hospital experience.
