Senior Neurophysiologist
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this post is to work as part of the Neurophysiology team, providing diagnostic neurophysiology testing including paediatric EEG, sleep EEG, neonatal EEG, Long Term Monitoring (LTM), visual evoked potentials (VEP) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS). Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience in performing routine neurodiagnostic studies.
Essential Criteria:
- Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
OR
- Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
OR
- Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
AND
- Have a minimum of 3 years satisfactory relevant post qualification experience.
- Experienced and proficient in recording EEGs from routine outpatients and inpatients.
- Experience in carrying out urgent portable EEG recordings in wards or intensive care units.
AND
- Candidates must have clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
