Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

144784 Senior Medical Social Worker

Permanent Contract

Candidates must, on the latest date for receiving completed application for the post, possess

Essential Criteria:

a)            Hold a recognised post graduate professional qualification in Social Work, NSWQ or equivalent.

b)            Be registered as a social worker with CORU (registration number to be provided on CV)

c)            Have at least 3 years post qualifying experience.

d)            Post graduate experience of work in a multidisciplinary content, preferably a Hospital setting.

e)            Possess in-depth knowledge and experience of working with families whose lives are socially challenged

f)            Possess in-depth knowledge of Child Protection Work

g)           To have worked in the area of bereavement and possess comprehensive knowledge of bereavement in social work.

Desirable Criteria:

g)           Have experience of policy and/ or best practice development

h)          Have training in, and experience of supervision main grade social workers
