Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) operates as a single service across the existing Dublin children’s hospitals, Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght. Also, the paediatric outpatients and urgent care centres, Connolly which opened in July 2019 and Tallaght which is due to open in 2021. CHI governs and operates local paediatric services for the Greater Dublin Area and all national paediatric specialist services, some of which are on an all-island basis.

The purpose of the role is to take PMO ownership of a portfolio/portfolios within the programme. The PMO Officer will work collaboratively with the Project Managers to support the deliveries through the key gateways which underpin the delivery framework in CHI.

This post will involve working in a fast-paced, highly energised work environment and be able to maintain a high-level of tasks while handling highly sensitive, confidential information. The individual must also be able to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, government departments, state bodies and all CHI colleagues.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant 3rd level degree/post-graduate qualification e.g. Management, Programme/Project Management, Health Management, Management, Clinical/Medical, or related fields.
  • Track record in a comparable role in a complex organization for a minimum period of 2 years.
  • Project Management experience on a large scale, complex programme.
  • Previous experience in an acute hospital setting, healthcare environment or public sector body.
  • Project Management qualification/training.
