Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position.

 

The applicant must demonstrate clinical competence in the practice of paediatric plasma exchange and competence in the practice of haemodialysis or willingness to take on role. The successful candidate must have excellent clinical and leadership skills and display a keen interest in Research and Audit.  We offer professional development and support allowing you the opportunity to expand your management skills and knowledge.

 

ESSENTIAL:

  • Candidates must be registered in the Children’s division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann)
  • Must have a minimum of five years post qualification experience, three of which must be recent experience within Children’s nursing.
  • Two years previous experience in the specialty or related area. 
  • Competent in the practice of paediatric plasma exchange
  • Competent in Haemodialysis or willingness to undertake role
  • Completion of Stand Alone Module in Nursing Care of a child with a renal disease.
  • Proven track record in continuing professional development
  • Must have experience of delivering quality improvement in a healthcare environment

DESIRABLE:

  • A relevant master’s degree or willingness to undertake same
  • Evidence of contribution towards education and training programmes.
  • Experience of autonomous practice.
  • Evidence of participation in audit/data collection.
  • Research or audit experience.
