The post holder will lead and be responsible for Information Governance services across CHI, facilitating compliance with statutory information governance responsibilities. This post will report to the Head of Corporate Affairs. The post holder will work closely with the: CHI Chief Information Officer, CHI Chief Operations Officer, CHI Director of Quality, Safety & Risk and CHI Data Protection Officer, as required.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications

  • Possess an appropriate third level qualification (at least QQI level 8 or above), preferably in Business Management or Healthcare Management.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development. 

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management role in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous relevant experience in the Public Sector.
  • Operational experience in developing and implementing Information Governance strategies, policies and management procedures.
  • Experience in the investigation and management of incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of the ISO27001 information security standard and its application.
  • Proven record of working at all levels and maintaining strong professional relationships within complex organisations in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand.
  • The ability to deliver projects, utilising all available resources and securing the best outcomes based on strategic objectives.
  • The ability to identify and implement changes to processes ensuring the most efficient use of organisational resources to deliver improvements in strategic outcomes.
