Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

Grade VI Operations Services Support

1 WTE Permanent Post and 1 WTE Fixed Term 2 year contract

Candidates must meet the below criteria by closing date of the competition.

Essential Criteria:

  • Achieved Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification not less than Level 6 in the QQI framework.
  • Have at least 5 years secretarial/administrative experience with a minimum of 2 years as a senior administrator, equivalent to Grade V level or above in a relevant Healthcare setting.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience as Team Leader/Supervisory management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Have experience of leading staff through change. Demonstrating versatility and capability of coping with change; can maintain a high level of professionalism when working under pressure.
  • Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate people and promote a positive team environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, experience in analysing and extracting data. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel to intermediate level.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects and adopting key project management principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Knowledge of National Frameworks e.g. National Healthcare Records Standards and Outpatient Services Performance Improvement Programme (OSPIP)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least QQI Level 6 on the National Framework or are working toward same.
  • Achieved or working towards a qualification in project management or equivalent third level qualification in healthcare management/business/IT.
  • Experience in managing patient administration systems (e.g. iPIMS) clinical information systems and managing electronic document management systems
  • Experience in managing healthcare information management systems and solutions
  • Experience in interacting with multiple internal and external stakeholders as relevant
  • Experience in design and delivery of training
