Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at CrumlinTemple Street and Tallaght. The three children’s hospitals and CHI’s Corporate Office transitioned from four separates, independently governed entities into one new single organisation effective from 1st January 2019 to govern and operate paediatric services in Dublin. 

 

This new organisation will operate as a single service across the existing locations of Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and the CHI Corporate Office before transitioning to the new facilities at the two paediatric outpatient and urgent care centres at Connolly and Tallaght Hospitals and the new children’s hospital on the campus shared with St James’s Hospital.

 

Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with a special interest in Cleft Lip and Palate – 16 hours Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and 3.5 hours St. James’s Hospital

 

Applicants must be:-

 

Registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Plastics, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and one year certified postgraduate training in primary and secondary surgery for cleft lip and palate.  Possession of fellowship training in primary and secondary surgery for cleft lip and palate is required. Broad experience in paediatric plastic surgery including complex reconstruction and the management of paediatric burns.

 

Essential requirements – registration with the Irish Medical Council or entitlement to be registered.
