Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at CrumlinTemple Street and Tallaght. The three children’s hospitals and CHI’s Corporate Office transitioned from four separates, independently governed entities into one new single organisation effective from 1st January 2019 to govern and operate paediatric services in Dublin. 

 This new organisation will operate as a single service across the existing locations of Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and the CHI Corporate Office before transitioning to the new facilities at the two paediatric outpatient and urgent care centres at Connolly and Tallaght Hospitals and the new children’s hospital on the campus shared with St James’s Hospital.

 The Role of Consultant Paediatric Anaesthesiologist (with a s.i. in complex paediatric pain) 29.5 hours Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and 9.5 hours, Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street – OCANKA14 – Closing date Friday, 11th December 2020.

This post has a 50% commitment to paediatric complex pain and 50% to paediatric anaesthesia.

Applicants must be:-

 Registered or entitled to be registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Anaesthesiology and have two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric anaesthesiology and have one year certified postgraduate training in Paediatric Pain Medicine.

A proleptic appointment may be considered.

 A panel may be created from which permanent, fixed term and specified purpose vacancies of a full or part time duration may be filled across the five Children’s Health Ireland locations. The tenure of these panels will be indicated at offer stage.
