Applications are invited for the following post on a Type B basis under the Consultants’ Contract 2008 (as per standard text issued by the HSE):

CONSULTANT OPHTHALMIC SURGEON s.i. PAEDIATRIC OPHTHALMIC SURGERY

This is an appointment to Children’s Health Ireland and the initial commitment for this post is:

Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street – 21.5 hours per week

Mater Misericordiae University Hospital – 14 hours per week

National Maternity Hospital – 3.5 hours per week

The following qualifications shall apply to this appointment:

  1. Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of ophthalmic surgery

and

  1. One year certified postgraduate training in paediatric ophthalmic surgery
