Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at CrumlinTemple Street and Tallaght. The three children’s hospitals and CHI’s Corporate Office transitioned from four separates, independently governed entities into one new single organisation effective from 1st January 2019 to govern and operate paediatric services in Dublin. 

 

This new organisation will operate as a single service across the existing locations of Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and the CHI Corporate Office before transitioning to the new facilities at the two paediatric outpatient and urgent care centres at Connolly and Tallaght Hospitals and the new children’s hospital on the campus shared with St James’s Hospital.

 

Consultant Haematologist (Clinical and Laboratory) with a special interest in Paediatric Haematology (Haemostasis and Thrombosis) – 35 hours Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and 4 hours St. James’s Hospital

 

Applicants must be:-

 

Registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Haematology (Clinical and Laboratory) and one year documented postgraduate evidence of training and/or experience assuring competence in paediatric haematology.

 

An FRCPath or equivalent higher degree in haematology is desirable.

 

Essential requirements – registration with the Irish Medical Council or entitlement to be registered.

 

A proleptic appointment may be considered.
