Purpose of the Role

Clinically lead and coordinate the Graduate Diploma Critical Care Nursing (Children) programme  (level 9) in collaboration with University College Dublin and CHI@TSCUH

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Be registered on the Children’s Division and/or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • 5 years post registration experience within the PICU, which for Registered General Nurse must include recent acute paediatric experience.
  • Higher Diploma / Graduate Diploma Critical Care Nursing (Children)
  • Experience in the supervision of staff and students
  • Experience and knowledge of the recognition and management of the acutely ill child, including but not limited to pre and post-operative care.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse Tutor (RNT) / teaching and assessing qualification and experience
  • MSc in Nursing
