Clinical Specialist Dietitian – Neurosciences

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to coordinate and lead Dietetic services for children under the care of the Neurosciences teams in CHI at Temple Street.

Essential Criteria:

Candidates for appointment must:

  • Be registered as a Dietitian by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU

or

  • Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005, must submit proof of application for registration with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU. The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant.
  • Have 5 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification dietetic experience of which 4 years must be consecutive in Neurosciences.
  • Demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence in Neurosciences.
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to Neurosciences, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
  • Demonstrate achievement in the areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching and research.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
