Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in Paediatric Rehabilitation: Children and Young People

Applications are invited from suitability qualified candidates for the above position. The CNM2 in Rehabilitation will have a central leadership role in establishing and developing the acute Rehabilitation service within CHI at Temple Street, driving service development, coordinating the Multidisciplinary team, and ensuring continuity and consistency of care for patients within the Rehabilitation service. The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and self-motivated with expert clinical knowledge. The post will give the successful candidate an opportunity to use your leadership skills and at the same time offer exposure to wider organisational nursing issues. 

 Essential Criteria:

  • Be registered on the Children’s Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  • Have at least 5 years post registration experience
  • Have previous experience of working with young people with Disabilities and their families/carers
  • Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in paediatric or adult rehabilitation
  • Experience in the use of standardised outcome measures or patient feedback tools.
  • Experience in managing organizational and professional change.
  • Ability to identify and facilitate nursing and clinical audit
  • Degree/masters in nursing or a willingness to undertake same

The successful candidate will be obliged to submit their application to the Nursing and Midwifery Board after a period of two years in the role, in order to have their post ratified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
