                                      CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2

                                PERMANENT  – 1 WTE 39 Hours /week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Surgical nurse to manage and lead our 12 bedded surgical ward which incorporates the Day of surgery admit (DOSA) lounge.  The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and self-motivated with expert clinical knowledge in the care of the paediatric surgical patient.  This position will give you an opportunity to use your leadership skills and at the same time offer exposure to wider organisational nursing issues.  We offer professional development and support allowing you the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Registered Children’s Nurse or Registered General Nurse with NMBI
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, three of which must be recent experience within Children’s nursing
  • 2 years previous experience in the acute care area
  • A recognised post graduate qualification relevant to this post or willingness to undertake same
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience in managing organisational and professional change
  • Evidence of contribution towards education and training programmes
  • Evidence of participation in audit/data collection
