Applications are invited from experienced skilled nurses who can provide leadership and support to the nursing team in the Day Ward at CHI at Temple Street. The Day Ward comprises 18 beds and cares for patients requiring surgical and medical day procedures. Candidates will be required to demonstrate clinical competence in Children’s Nursing, together with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and further develop the delivery of a high quality service.

Essential:

  • Registered Children’s Nurse (NMBI) with a minimum of 5 years post registration experience, 3 of which must be in the field of Children’s Nursing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the skills required to lead a team and relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to co-ordinate patient flow and provide direction to a multi-disciplinary team in a busy environment.

Desirable:

  • A post registration qualification in leadership and management
