The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) provides strategic leadership to the executive nursing team with regards to digital developments; provides expert clinical informatics advice and guidance; working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure clinical and patient and family involvement in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of digital systems and services in particular the Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR). The post holder will also enable, promote and champion the development of a clinically appropriate information culture across Children’s Health Ireland.

This post will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), with professional accountability to the Chief Director of Nursing for Children’s Health Ireland. The post holder will work closely with the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Chief Director of Nursing, Directors of Nursin, Clinical Directors, Clinical staff, Executive Teams, Information Technology Teams, Governance teams and the HSE National CIO for Nursing and Midwifery.
