Purpose of the Role:

You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Diet Kitchen. To lead the Diet Kitchen team and develop the Special Diet service. Produce dietary meals for patients in a highly specialised kitchen operation. Work under the direction of the dietetics department to specific timeframes. Process requests for special diet meals / requests

Essential Criteria:

  • Have obtained a Professional Cookery award at minimum Level 6 on National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or equivalent maintained by the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

                                                         OR

  • London City & Guilds 706/1, London City & Guilds 706/2 as equivalent.

Other Essential Criteria:

  • Proven competency to work in a highly specialised role and environment
  • Demonstrate a good working Knowledge of Nutrition
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge and experience of Special Diet Production
  • Cookery at senior level, in a healthcare / welfare environment
  • Proven Competency to take on a leadership role
