Children’s Health Ireland (CHI), comprises of the three children’s hospitals at CHI at Crumlin, Dublin 12, CHI at Temple Street, Dublin 1 and CHI at Tallaght, Dublin 24 and the Paediatric Outpatients and Urgent Care Centre, CHI at Connolly Hospital, Dublin 15. The new OPD and Emergency Care Unit in Tallaght opened in Nov 2021.

The purpose of this post is to coordinate and support the Grade VI Deputy Operations Manager and the Operations Team within the Central Referrals Office. 

The post holder will be required to audit and review processes within the CRO to ensure their compliance with agreed SOP’s, KPI’s and HSE standards. Liaise with stakeholders throughout the hospital and CHI as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Achieved Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification not less than Level 6 in the QQI framework.
  • 5 years’ administration experience with 2 years’ experience at a Grade IV level
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders as relevant to the role
  • Ability to demonstrate supervision of a team
  • Have a working knowledge of hospital information systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate successfully and sensitively with patients, multidisciplinary staff, and outside agencies.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a high pressured demanding environment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in Change management.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPI’s within your current role.
  • Experience implementing process improvements.
  • Specific knowledge of OSPIP and NTPF guidelines
